Board & Train in NJ — Dog Training Boot Camp
Your dog trains full-time. Then we train you.
In our 2-week board & train program, your dog lives with a professional trainer and works multiple sessions a day — obedience, manners and real-world exposure. Then comes the part most programs skip: structured handoff lessons that teach YOU to maintain the results. Boarding is hosted with our partner facility Playful Paws; training is 100% Major K-9.
2-Week Immersion
Daily structured training sessions, socialization and real-world field trips — not kennel time with a lesson bolted on.

Two transfer sessions plus written homework so the training survives the trip home.
Behavior Board & Train
Extended programs for reactivity and behavior cases that need full-time structure.
Follow-Up Support
Post-program check-ins and discounted tune-up sessions. We don't disappear after pickup.
Board & Train FAQs
How much does board and train cost in NJ?
Board & train in New Jersey typically ranges from $1,500 to $4,000 depending on length and goals. Major K-9's 2-week obedience program starts at $1,500, including boarding, daily training and owner handoff lessons.
Is board and train worth it?
For busy owners, adolescent dogs and behavior cases needing full-time structure — yes. The key is the owner handoff: programs fail when the owner isn't taught to maintain the work, which is why ours includes transfer lessons and follow-up support.
What happens after my dog comes home from board and train?
You get two handoff lessons, a written maintenance plan, and follow-up check-ins. Expect to actively practice for 15–20 minutes a day for the first month to lock in the results.
